Karla Marie Quiroz is already making fashionistas’ dreams come true at only 21 years old. She recently launched a much-talked-about dress line, Gorgeous Khaos. The Latina fashion designer is from Cranston, RI and a senior at the University of Rhode Island. She will soon graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design with a Minor in Art. 

Karla credits her early success to the good friends who continue to support her and a wonderful mother who has always championed her work. “I would not be where I am in my career, or life in general, if it were not for her,” the young designer said of her mom, Minerva. Karla is extraordinarily grateful for the opportunity to show her designs at StyleWeek Providence.

The designer’s Froze in Khaos collection tells a story of a winter wonderland. She also highlights the season’s bright white beauty. While designing, Karla was inspired by both ice and fire. First, models wearing wintry ensembles strut down the runway. The finale features a fiery design that Karla created to look as if it were melting off of the previous icy looks.
