Peach Carr

Peach Carr learned to sew in the fourth grade through the 4-H club. She walked into the spotlight when her designs stepped onto the catwalk during season 8 of “Project Runway.”  Dubbed by Tim Gunn as “country club chic,” Peach founded a fashionable sportswear and tennis wear line. With a simple change of shoes, a woman can go from a tennis match to lunch, dinner or a girl’s night out. Drawing from her childhood, Peach created designs with a mod vibe and splashes of color. The brand, Peach Carr Designs, is for fashion-forward women who want to be noticed on and off the court. As a resident of Lake Forest, Ill., near Chicago, Peach champions the area’s economy by manufacturing all of her apparel locally.

If Peach chose to name her Autumn/Winter collection, she would call it “Next.” For the first time, Peach designed with sequins. Like Peach’s previous collections, she looked to her past for inspiration. The music of the sixties and seventies and the pop art era influenced her. The collection has an Edie Sedgwick vibe with mod silhouettes in bold colors. Check out peachcarrdesigns.com to see more of Peach’s work.
